This architecture is called “Los Angeles City Hall,” this
building is found in Down Town Los Angeles. This building was built in 1928.
The main function of this building is where the mayor and the city council of
LA have reunions. In the 27th floor people could go and observed the
view from all over LA. The building has suffer some modification from 1998 to
2001 to reinforce it in case of an earthquake. The building is made from
concrete sand for the same purpose to resist any kind of damage. The center
part of the building is the tallest around 450 feet tall. In front of the
building it has a patio, maybe with the intention of people contemplating the
building standing in front of them.
I think
the problem was making the building more solid since is a building that is
about 90 years old. I think is a good idea that they due adjustment because we
never know what’s going to happen, especially to an old building. I think the
idea about maintaining the building is a good idea because this building is
emblematic in the LA area. It might improve if they out more lightning around
the building because in the inside there’s plenty of it. If there’s lighter it
would give the building a sense of illumination.
